Tim Miller, who resigned from the UK Gambling Commission earlier this year, has stepped down from the GREF board and has relinquished his role as treasurer. 

Miller served on the forum for several years and was a key UK figure during a period when the Gambling Commission implemented extensive reforms to online gambling regulation and affordability checks. GREF expressed its gratitude for Miller’s contributions during his tenure.

AI is used, but only towards the end of the process. The timing is significant. The illegal gambling market is attracting growing attention from regulators and the wider industry, while estimates of its size vary considerably depending on definitions and methodology.

These steps remain subject to regulatory approvals, including clearance from the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) and the French Interior Ministry, which oversees ownership changes in gaming operators under Article L. 323‑3 of the French Code de la sécurité intérieure.

The definitive share transfer agreement is expected to be signed following the completion of mandatory employee information and consultation procedures at Casigrangi and at the Casino de Gruissan’s social and economic committee. 

Closing of the transaction is targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
